As specialists in stakeholder engagement with years of experience creating engagement tools, we believe that engaged, well-informed stakeholders are foundational to the success of School Districts and the students they serve. That’s why we wanted to shine a spotlight on those Districts who have gone above and beyond to foster fruitful partnerships with their stakeholders. Below are some of the approaches we’ve observed that are pillars of a successful engagement program:
- Frequent meetings and workshops with stakeholders and the community
- Providing ample opportunities for stakeholders to provide feedback and input
- Utilizing social media in a consistent and engaging manner to keep families and the community in the loop
- Providing simple, easy-to-use tools that allow parents to stay informed of their student’s progress and performance.
- Utilizing communication and engagement tools, such as websites and the LCAP and SPSA infographics, to clearly communicate the goals, direction, and progress of the District.
If you know of a School District or LEA that you believe belongs on this list, let us know. The good work that these Districts and their employees do on behalf of our students and communities should not go unnoticed!
